A couple weeks into my freshman year, I was talking with some students and a student from CFA casually compared black people to “chimps.”
There were no black students present to hear him say that.
This shows that racism at a CMU goes beyond what our community says outwardly towards black students. Horrific stuff happens behind closed doors.
This exact student has been posting for the last two weeks about BLM and recent events.
To said student: I want you to think about how you’re claiming to support a race that you compared to animals.
