“The fraternity dorm/housing on the corner of Forbes and Morewood (SAE I believe) had a party and several White, East Asian, and South Asian students took issue with my Black friends and I being there. We noticed nearly all of the non-Black students slowly trickle out of the room until eventually, it was just my group of friends and a handful of other party-goers. The ‘host’ told us the party was over and asked my friends and I to leave.
As we left we noticed many of the students that left earlier were standing in the hallway. As we walked down the stairs we heard the music turn back on and cheers come from the room we had just exited. It was incredibly racist, hurtful, embarrassing and frustrating.”
